As you round the drive at the Hummingbird House and pull in through the Iron Gate, you already get a sense the elegance of your event. Five and a half beautifully landscaped and manicured acres, you will feel far away from the ordinary, a true oasis of lush greens, blooming flowers and large palms. The perfect back drop for your next important event, including your wedding ceremony, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner and even a birthday party!

Outdoor Venue
As you step upon the back covered patio, you get your first look of this breath taking tropical haven. Step down to the lushes’ pool deck with vibrant color and natural rockscape all around. Behind the pool lays green lawns that run alongside Onion Creek; this is a great stage for the ceremony, having amply room on each side of the aisle for up to 200 guests. A green amptheather to left and a 40x80 foot tent covered patio to the right, wonderful for dinner and dancing, both having a raised stage, perfect for the wedding party or a band. This venue has countless options for the ideal ceremony and reception.

Hummingbird House Interior
As you enter this spacious stone and ivy covered, you will be astonished by the large skylights and the vast picture windows, allowing in the beauty of natural light and gorgeous views. A sun filled entry hall and gathering area with a large stone fireplace and slate floors will make for a dramatic and welcoming entry for your guest. A bridal suite and bridal party suite are situated on the west wing of the house, with a large private bathroom with mirrors and dressing areas all around and a private exit for them to the back patio. Also the Groom’s suite and large bathroom are off to the east side of the house. A full gourmet kitchen with a large gas range and grill, all stainless steel appliances, and a side entry mud room, makes perfect for the caterers to prep and serve.

I have always dreamt of my wedding day. I'd have it in Austin, outside with the sun shining down, flowers everywhere in all colors, I could hear water nearby but never too loud, the ceremony short and the attendance private, and music softly playing in the background almost as if it was coming from the trees themselves.

I have always been a romantic, but as I went around Austin trying to find my dream I could never have it all in one place. The ceremony was short and sweet, perfect for me, and the reception was right there with the tent dressed in white and lit up with touches of my colors, and the music began as soon as the ceremony was over. It was the perfect day and it ended even better. Danny ushered everyone home once I said it was time for them to go and the house was all ours for the rest of the weekend.

This was the day I had always dreamed of, the moments I will always remember, and I owe it all to the Hummingbird House, and they truly made my dream come true.
